INGREDIENTS

Cake
(18 pieces)

2 eggs
125 g melted butter
250 ml milk
380 g plain flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
150 g brown sugar
30 g cocoa powder
chocolate spread
(according to your wishes Nutella or similar)

DIRECTIONS

Cake

Mix first dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, sugar, and cocoa powder. In another bowl, mix wet ingredients: eggs, milk, and melted butter. It’s best to stir the mixture lightly with a whisk rather than with a hand-held mixer. With a spatula, slowly combine the moist ingredients with the dry ones.

Put the paper cups in the cupcake mold and fill them with a spoon of a mixture. On the top of the mixture, place one teaspoon of chocolate spread and then continue to fill the cups with the remaining mixture. Fill the cups with only two-thirds of the height, otherwise, the batter will rise too much out of the mold.

Place the cupcakes in a preheated oven at about 190° C for about 20 minutes. Insert a toothpick or a knife tip in a cupcake to check if they are baked enough. If they come out dry, the cupcakes are done.

Topping

Decorate as desired with whipped cream, vanilla cream, or melted chocolate. Using edible food coloring, you can give whipped cream an interesting color. You can also create interesting figurines of Ticino mass or marzipan.
