INGREDIENTS
Dough
1 egg
10 dag sugar
17 dag plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
10 dag ground walnuts
10 dag butter
2 tsp cinnamon
Icing
12 dag icing sugar
rum
DIRECTIONS
Dough
Mix all ingredients and knead a smooth dough. If it is too sticky and difficult to knead, add some flour. Wrap the dough with a transparent foil and leave it for about 1.5 hours in the fridge to cool well.
When the dough is cooled, roll it out on a floured surface to a thickness of about 0.5 cm. Cut the dough with star-shaped molds (if you do not have a star, use other shapes of your choice), and place it on a baking sheet. Place the baking sheet in a preheated oven at 190° C for about 10 minutes, making sure the dough does not get too browned.
Icing
Make the icing by mixing powdered sugar with a bit of rum. Make sure the mixture is not too thin. Coat the cookies with a prepared paste. Sprinkle it with decorative beads, candied fruit, and similar decorations you like. It is best to serve cookies with hot drinks.
