peanut butter cake

Ingredients

Cake

1 egg
50 g caster sugar
125 g butter
130 g petit beurre biscuits
(finely crushed)
100 g chopped almonds
(or other nuts as desired)
5 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder

Custard

350 g peanut butter (crunchy)
125 g butter
85 g icing sugar

Chocolate icing

150 g dark cooking chocolate
2-3 tbsp oil
1 tbsp butter

Cake

Melt butter, sugar, and cocoa in a double boiler over medium heat. The base of the upper bowl must not touch the water at any time during the process. Then add one egg and mix until the mixture becomes homogeneous.

Remove the bowl from the steam and add finely chopped biscuits and almonds into the mixture. Line a baking pan with parchment paper and pour into it the prepared base. Align the base with a spoon to be even.

 Custard

In a bowl stir peanut butter with plain butter. Add the powdered sugar and stir to combine well. Pour the mixture over the previously prepared cake.

Chocolate icing

Place all ingredients in a double boiler and melt them over medium heat then pour mixture over the cake. Leave the cake for several hours in the fridge to get set. Cut the cake into slices before serving.
